Our test is CE marked for professional use and is therefore a registered IVD device suitable for use by a healthcare professional.
Our test has been proven to be highly accurate. The most recent study carried out in the USA gave specificty as 100% and sensitivity as 100% .
The labs report said "we recommend using Encode as it is a test with high IgG positivity rates in recovered COVID-19 patients, in line or better than the United Kingdom Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
The test is suitable for everyone, including pregnant women and children. However, as the test requires a blood sample, anyone with a blood-related health condition (such as haemophilia) should discuss this with a healthcare professional before performing a test.
IgM is the first antibody to be produced in response to an infection. Therefore, the presence of IgM is an indicator of early infection. The presence of IgG is an indicator of later stage infection (usually 7 days or longer after infection) and therefore suggests you have previously been infected.
A negative result means that the test did not find antibodies to coronavirus (COVID-19) in your blood.
This means either you have not had COVID-19 or you have not made antibodies. There is some evidence to suggest that some people do not produce antibodies despite being confirmed ill with COVID-19.
If you do test positive for antibodies there is still not enough research been done to give a definitive answer as to whether you are immune to the virus.
We currently supply these tests to the NHS.
